Eldris "Pete" Hinton
LENA-Services for Eldris "Pete" Hinton will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Highway 1 Church of God with the Rev. Wade Merrell officiating. Burial will be in Bay Springs Cemetery, Chopin, under direction of Hixson Bros., Alexandria.
Hinton, 80, of Lena died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Grant Manor Nursing Home in Colfax.
He was a retired longshoreman and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Eldris Hinton of Louisburg, N.C., Jimmy Ray H inton of Memphis, Tenn. (NOTE: should be Knoxville, TN), and Norris Eugene Hinton of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Ruth Vandever and Donnie Mae Wallis, both of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. today until shortly before time of services Wednesday in the church.
