Linda Paige Treakle, 72, of Unionville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at her home.
Born May 8, 1946, in Harrisonburg Va., she was the daughter of the late John W. Armentrout and Frances Lawson Armentrout.
She is also predeceased by a brother Douglas W. Armentrout, and a sister Ivy-Lou Derrer.
Linda was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her niece Diane Knight, family and friends, traveling and word search puzzles. She was a member of the St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir; and was a retired assistant administrator with social services.
Linda is survived by her husband Aubrey Treakle Jr. of Unionville; two sons Byron Treakle and wife Kimberly of Spotsylvania, and Darin Treakle and Jade Nguyen of Haymarket; four grandchildren Gavin, Lauryn, Chloe and Tanner; two brothers Leon Armentrout and (Frances) of Harrisonburg, and Luther Armentrout and( Doris) of Harrisonburg; and a sister Shirley McInturff Shirley of Gulf Breeze, FL. and several nieces, and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of your Choice.
