Mrs. Helen D. Berger, 60, Pekin, died at her home Wednesday. She had been employed the past eight years at the Tazewell County Nursing Home at Tremont.
She was born April 9, 1908, in Peoria, the daughter of John and Helen Hersman Newkirk. She was married to Charles Berger, Aug. 27, 1927, in Peoria. He died in 1958.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Helen Charlton, Pekin; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Kumpf, Pekin; and Mrs. Elizabeth Kroepel, Washburn.
She was also preceded in death by her father and one sister.
Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
