Bonnie S. Mayes, 66, of Pauline, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA.

Bonnie was born on February 7, 1953 to William Junior Mayes and Zella Grace (Glines) Mayes in Davenport, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Dale Robertson on January 7, 1986 in Spartanburg. They later divorced but remained close friends.

Bonnie was a wonderful cook and she loved cats.

Those left to cherish her memory include her former husband, Dale; son, Eric Virgil; daughter, Melissa Green; siblings, Richard Mayes of Bluffton, South Carolina, James Mayes of Texas and Sharon Whitbeck of Davenport, Iowa; and grandchildren: Alexander, Zoey, Connor, Czarya, Colin, Xander and Abby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, James Paul William Virgil; and siblings, Robert Mayes, Ronald Mayes and Gregory Mayes.
