Phyllis Elizabeth Godfrey, 87, of Richwood, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Summersville Regional Medical Center, after a short illness.
Phyllis was born on May 02, 1931, in Quinwood, WV, to the late Kessler Cecil and Mary Ethel Pomeroy Crist. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Her true joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, Richwood, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob”, son, Robert Steven, and daughter, Debra Holbrook.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie, and husband, Ross Zangari, Richwood, WV; two sisters, Kathryn Bunting, Dain, WV and Shelby Taylor, Canvas, WV; 4 grandchildren, Rob Zangari, Richwood, WV, Cory Zangari, Richwood, WV, Batina Zangari, Clarksburg, WV, and Jerrica Dempsey, Richwood, WV; 8 great-grandchildren.
