Roy Wallace Bennett, age 76, of Princeton, KY, passed Monday, February 18, 2019 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
He was a lifetime member of Northside Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a past Deacon. He retired from the maintenance department at General Electric in Madisonville and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Roy's passion was his wife and family.
Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Isobel Anderson Bennett; dau Natalie Dawn and husband Jerry Lacy of Princeton, step-dau Deborah L Martin and husband Tom Wigginton of Fredonia; one step-son, Stephen B Martin of Princeton; two sisters, Lavella Wilkerson of Princeton, Lilli Belle Christopher and husband, Gary, of Chillicothe, MO; two brothers, Tommy Bennett of Princeton, Elbert Bennett and wife, Linda, of Fredonia; six grandchildren, Megan Wigginton and husband, John Fano, of Nashville, Kara Stevenson of Princeton, Brock Martin and wife, Jessica, of West Paducah, Josh Martin of Princeton, Ally Sexton and husband, David, of Shady Grove, Trace Lacy of Princeton; six great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Stevenson, Jamison Stevenson, Kamryn McGoldrick, Keaton Adams, Corbin Martin, Amelia Sexton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Wyatt and Beulah Amelia Coleman Bennett; two sisters, Anna LaChance, Esther Lee Bennett; three brothers, Herman Trice Bennett, Lloyd Bennett, Edward Bennett.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. David Royalty officiating, assisted by Bro. Israel Brooks and Bro. David Brown. Burial will follow at White Sulphur Cemetery in Caldwell County.
