H.T. BRIGGS—DEAD: H.T. Briggs, departed his life at 15 minutes till 12 o’clock last Thursday at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 25 days. He was born in New York, Mar. 20, 1831. He was 6 years old when his parents came to Michigan, where he grew to manhood; from there he came to Illinois and married Miss Laura M. Briggs. From there he moved to Kansas in 1869 and bought a farm on the Dragoon creek. After the death of his wife Dec. 24, 1905, he sold the farm and bought a home in Scranton where he lived at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn, three sons, Willie, Mina and Herba Briggs, four daughters, Elnora Nichols, Emma Provost, Belle Ryberg and Minnie Briggs, three brothers, and one sister.
