William R. Bame, 72, Aaronsburg, died at his home Saturday, November 11, 1972. He was born in Aaronsburg December 18, 1899, the son of Jacob and Charlotte Burd Bame.
He was married February 13, 1945, to Marguerite Krape, who survived with one son, Leroy W. Bame, and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Wance, both of Aaronsburg. One sister, Mrs. Elah Downer of Aurora, Illinois.
He was a retired businessman, a member of the Mifflinburg Moose, the VFW of Bellefonte, Millheim Fire Company, Keystone Post 444 American Legion of Millheim and a veteran of World War I.
Services were held at the George G. Neff Funeral Home with Reverend Paul E. Birt officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
