Mrs. Hilda Mae Phillips Bearden, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born November 29, 1938 the daughter of the late A. A. Phillips and the late Mae King Phillips. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother that will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Melvin E. Bearden and sons, Ronnie F. Bearden and Randy M. Bearden. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy (Lynn) Bearden of Bowdon; daughters and sons-in-law: Judy (Evan) Sprewell of Carrollton, Penny (Tony) Bush of Carrollton, and Amy Peak, also of Carrollton; sisters and brother-in-law: Meredith (Don) Smith, and Wynonia Pope; grandchildren: Rhonda Sullivan, Kristi Bearden, Mickey Bearden, Matt Gaddy, Brooke Gaddy, Barrett Kidd, Benjamin Bearden. Joe Bearden, Kyle Bearden, Brandy Prater, Angela Sprewell, Brian Weaver, Christina Bush, Nicholas White, and Madison Malcolm; and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. J. W. Daniel officiating. Music will be rendered by Kathy Roberts. Pallbearers will be Nicholas White, Joe Bearden, Kyle Bearden, Kevin Prater, Tony Bush, Malik Malcolm, Tanner Archibald, and Joshua Prater. Entombment will follow in the Carrollton City Mausoleum with Bro. Tim Roberts presiding.
