FAIRMOUNT — Eddie Cheuvront, 89, of Fairmount passed away at 5:15 a.m. Friday (Feb. 22, 2019) at Colonial Manor, Danville.

Eddie was born April 5, 1929, in Fairmount, to Charles Edward and Fae George Cheuvront. He married Jackie Cook on Aug. 1, 1953, in Fairmount. She preceded him in death Oct. 2, 2015.

Surviving are two sons, Eddie Cheuvront of Fairmount and Kevin (Nicole) Cheuvront of Fairmount; one sister, Irene Vincent of Champaign; two grandchildren, Chasidy Winkler and Madison (Reed) Foxworthy; and one great-grandchild, Kaden Winkler. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe, and one sister, Juanita.

Eddie served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a scheduling clerk for General Motors Tilton Foundry for 37 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Private graveside services will be held at Greenview Cemetery, Fairmount, with military rites accorded by the Catlin American Legion. The Rev. Mike Roberts will officiate. Robison Chapel, Catlin, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences at robisonchapel.com.
