Drowned in the Lower Rogue River while sailing with his brother, James Walker and father, Antone Walker to get a load of provisions from Gold Beach to their farm. Their boat capsized throwing all three into the water. Antone was rescued by a passing boat. He searched for his missing sons and they were not found.
