LeCLAIRE, Iowa -- Memorial services for Edgar C. Agy, of LeClaire, Iowa, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf. The family will greet friends for a time of fellowship at the church immediately following the services. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Services, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Agy died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at his home in LeClaire. Edgar Charles Agy was born on June 14, 1942, in Denver, Colo., a son of Edgar and LaVonne (Bend) Agy. He married Christine C. Baxter on June 20, 1970, in Eugene, Ore. Mr. Agy was employed with the U.S. Government for 35 years of which the last 12 years were spent at the Rock Island Arsenal as an environmental engineer. Edgar received his B.S.M.E. in mechanical engineering from the University of Denver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eisenhower Elementary School Library or to the Pleasant Valley High School choral music program. Survivors include his wife, Christine, LeClaire; a daughter, Emily Agy, Syracuse, N.Y.; a son, Matthew Agy, Stillwater, Minn.; his parents, Edgar and LaVonne, Wheat Ridge, Colo.; a sister, Karen (Mrs. Ed) Tennant, Hemet, Calif.; and his brothers, Terrell (Beverly) Agy, Wheat Ridge, and Kim (Kathy) Agy, Aurora, Colo.
