"The funeral of the late Berry A. Peel, who passed away at his home in Marmaton last Thursday evening at 9:30, which has been delayed awaiting the arrival of relatives, was held from the Centerville M. E. church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. W. Y Alien, pastor of the Christian church this city. Interment took place in the Centerville cemetery Mr. Peel was born in Kentucky, August 13, 1841, being 71 years and seven months old. Dropsy, after an extended illness was the immediate cause of his death. He was a soldier and member of the G. A. R. He leaves besides his aged companion, two brothers, residing in Richmond. Kansas: two sons and two daughter. in Illinois, also one daughter, Mrs. Noel Conway, who with her husband and family. reside on and own what is known as the old Oliver farm, adjoining the village of Uniontown."
