Laverne Fletcher Spears Bennett, 70, of Lenox, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Mrs. Bennett will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens.

Born July 6, 1948 in Nashville, Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late J. T. Fletcher and Maggie Tucker Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Eugene Spears; her second husband, Daulton Travis Bennett; one sister, Mary Fletcher; and one brother, Ernest Fletcher. She had an Associate Degree in Childhood Education and was a caregiver and a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien County.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by three daughters; one brother and sister-in-law; three sisters and one brother-in-law; her grandchildren.
