Larry Lee Tibby, 80, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away Sunday (Feb. 17, 2019) in Mesa.
He was born July 27th, 1938 in Loda, Illinois to Evelyn and Wendell Tibby. He lost his father at age 4 and his mother remarried Maurice Abrahamson.
Larry was the beloved husband for 57 years to Bonnie Webb. They married on June 9th 1962.
He was lieutenant JG in the U.S. Navy for four years; he then pursued a career at State Farm Insurance where he worked for 38 years.
He had an avid interest in gems and was a collector of kaleidoscopes, and loved watching sports,cars and drinking DQ milkshakes.
Larry and Bonnie enjoyed retirement and traveled frequently to Sedona AZ, Oceanside CA, and Door County WI.
Larry and Bonnie recently moved to Mesa to be closer to their kids.
Larry is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Kent (Hye Joung) Tibby, California; daughter, Kelly (John) Theobald, Arizona and four grandchildren; sister, Shirley Wadell (Jim); and brother, Roger Abrahamson.
