Doug enjoyed solving problems, and for years operated a contracting business providing a variety of construction specialties throughout the northwest, collecting many friends all along the way.
Doug loved any activity that got him outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved riding and caring for his horses, and he always was ready for a road-trip on his ‘cycle. Doug had a sparking sense of humor and was an avid storyteller, frequently sharing details about his many adventures with friends and neighbors. His bear-like physique contrasted clearly with a good hearted and kind disposition. He was a die-hard Republican and relished a spirited political debate.
