The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Beulah Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Curtis Barbery officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Caviness was a Moore County native, a Milliken Company retiree, and was a lifelong avid rabbit hunter. At the time of his death, he was manger of Bennett Hardware.
Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Patricia Caviness Clendenin of Robbins; sons, Waylon W. Caviness of Bennett and Ward A. Caviness of Robbins; sister, Mrs. Devonia Ritter of Robbins; brothers, Leon Caviness and Theron Caviness, both of Robbins; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Joyce-Brady Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
