Judy Calhoun Jeffcoat, age 80, widow of Clifford Henry Jeffcoat who died in an auto accident in 1955, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 1, 2015. She was born in Ninety-Six, SC and grew up in Williston, SC graduating from Williston-Elko HS in 1952. Judy was the daughter of the late Christine Buchanan and Robert Frank Calhoun.

She is survived by two brothers, Phillip (Jeanne) Calhoun of Irmo, SC and Robert Henry (Joanne) Calhoun of Spartanburg, SC; as well as, four nephews and two nieces; also seven great nephews and two great nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Ben in 2003. She is also survived by her dear friend Bill Jordan and his family. Bill was her great supporter for more than 40 years. Judy completed X-ray Technician training at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC. She later completed her degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Judy was employed for more than 33 years in the X-ray department of the Veterans Hospital of Augusta. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta for more than 50 years. As a member of Mrs. Margaret Parker's Sunday School Class, she was greatly blessed with exceptional Bible teachings.

Judy has given her body to the Medical College of Georgia because she had heart valve transplants more than 40 years ago. She was among the first recipients of the metal heart valve.

A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Augusta. The family request that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Augusta, 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.
