At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday December 14, 2005. Elsie M. Corkish (nee Chatfield) of Woodstock in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late James H. Corkish. Dear mother of Mary Dorken and husband Donald, Bob Corkish and wife Pam all of Woodstock, Margaret Noble of Scarborough, John Corkish of B.C. and Billy Corkish and wife Carol of North Bay.

Loved grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Kay and Lattin Hollis of Nova Scotia, Sam Chatfield and his wife Celestic of Woodstock and Walter Southgate and his wife Marion and sister-in-law of Wilma Southgate.

Predeceased by her daughter Agnes Walker, son James Corkish jr., by her brothers Gill, Laurie, William and Claude Southgate and sisters Olive and Dorothy.

Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Sunday December 18, 2005 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Duncan officiating. Interment later in the Anglican Cemetery following cremation.

Flowers are being accepted, if desired contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Due to the holiday season, the family has asked for a time of privacy during the weekend and would welcome friends to join with the family during the visitation and service times provided.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Briggs for his personal attention to Mom and to the valuable service the nurses and staff provide through the C.C.A.C. Woodstock.
