William E. Garlick Sr., 90 years, of Dundee, Mich., died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Medilodge of Monroe.
Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Mich. There will be a service 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, also at the funeral home. Pastor Ted Kerr III of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, Mich. will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, Mich.
Born Aug. 22, 1927 in Belleville, Mich., William was the son of David and Minnie (Tabor) Garlick.
He served with the US Army.
He married Mary Gurney in September of 2002 in Monroe, Mich.
He worked as an inspector for Universal Diecast for 41 years.
He loved doing the lawns, pulling and riding tractor. He was a jack-of-all-trades, a rock collector and loved to garden.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, William (Jane Turpen) Garlick Jr., John (Voshie) Garlick Sr.; daughters, Ruth (Daniel) Booth, Paula Majchszak, Deborah Gilbride, Rosemary (Kevin) Trapp; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, four brothers, seven sisters, a grandson and a son.
