Steven C. Carrington,Sr., 72, of Richmond, passed away on February 11, 2019.
He is survived by his sons, Steven Carrington, Jr. and Scott Carrington; special friend and long-time companion, Barbara Owen; sisters, Carol Anderson and Nancy Bowlin; brother, Kent Carrington; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Riverview Cemetery in Richmond.∼He was born in Richmond, VA (11-11-1946) and was raised in the Stratford Hills area of Chesterfield County. He graduated from Huguenot High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. After his discharge, he received his Bachelor's Degree from VCU. Steve had two sons, Steven Jr. and Scott Carrington. He worked at Ft. Lee as a Management Analyst for 34 years until his retirement in 2017.
