Mattie Laverne Westbrook, age 85, of Lexington, Texas passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Mattie was born in Blanco County on June 4, 1933 to Tom and Etta Beauchamp. They moved to Lee County in 1945. Mattie Graduated from Lexington High School in 1951. She married the love of her life Robert Westbrook on November 3, 1951, they were married for 67 years. Mattie worked for Lammes Candies for many years, then went to work at Safeway were she retired from. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, painting crafts, baking and decorating cakes. She loved going to the coast and going on cruises. Mattie was a member of the Adina Christina Church, American Legion Auxiliary Unit, and Lee County Education Extension Club-Blue.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son Robert Lynn Westbrook, six brothers and one sister.

Mattie was survived by a daughter and a sister as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
