Elizabeth Bomar Wallace age 82 of Florence passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. Services to follow in the church at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Foster Eich and Rev Andrew Keyes officiating. Elkins Funeral Home of Florence in charge of arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Cleveland and Elloise Robinson Bomar.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband William "Bill" Madison Wallace. Her children, William "Bo" Madison Wallace Jr. (Bailey) and Paul Bomar Wallace (Lisa). Five grandchildren, Paul Bomar Wallace Jr., William Sims Wallace, Catherine Elizabeth Wallace, Tyler Madison Wallace and Abigail Mackenzie Wallace. And three wonderful nephews.
She was an active member of St. Bartholomew''s Episcopal Church. She was involved in many community services including meals on wheels, the soup kithen and other local charities.
She attended Sidwell Friends School, Swarthmore College with honors in history, and earned her masters in history at Emory University.
Elizabeth enjoyed art, gardening, sewing, volunteering, time with family and her dogs. She was a quiet giver who truly enjoyed serving others.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bartholomew''s Episcopal church, Safeplace Inc., Shoals Habitat for Humanity, or the local charity of your choice.
