Richard R. "Dick" Deputy, 80, of Oro Valley, Ariz., the father of a Pekin man, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Casa de la Luz Hospice in Tucson.

He was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Fairbury, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He worked as a sales manager for Prudential Insurance Company, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by Lois, his wife of 57 years; children, Judith (Scott) Cleaver of Colleyville, Texas, Debora (Brian) Hottman of Sugar Land, Texas, Donn (Anne) Deputy of Windsor, Colo., David (Erin) Deputy of Pekin, Ill., and James (Linda) Deputy of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Phyllis Bartlett of Clinton, Ill.

Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
