Rev. Dale Keith Dunbar Born May 4, 1923 to Osa Lent Dunbar and Glenn Dunbar in Chicago, IL. Dale passed away May 10, 2008 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn; sons, Mark (Ana), Glenn, David, Kirk and Scott; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Magee and Carol (Don) Markwell. He graduated from Yorkville High School, IL in 1941, received BA from S.M.U., 1944, Masters of Divinity from Garrett Theological Seminary, 1947 and Masters in Rehabilitation Administration from UofA 1972. Dale served as Pastor of Liberty-Buckeye, Patagonia, Somerton, Hope (Tucson), Methodist Churches and as Associate Pastor, Catalina UMC. Also part of his ministry was training and serving as Executive Director of Goodwill Industries in Zanesville, OH, and began and led the Tucson Branch in 1967. He was President, Board of Trustees, Tucson Housing Foundation and President of the Committee for Economic Opportunity for Pima and Santa Cruz Counties. He also volunteered his leadership in the Family Counseling Agency and Yuma County Society for Crippled Children and Adults. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 915 E. 4th St. No fee parking at Tyndall St. garage. Luncheon following service. Inurnment at later date at FUMC Memorial Patio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First UMC, Amercian Cancer Society, Tucson or UMCOR.
