Peggy Maureen Miers, age 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, February 11, 2019 at her daughter’s home.
Mrs. Miers was born August 25, 1931 in Elizabeth, Louisiana. She was co-owner of South Haven Golf Club for 43 years, member of the First Baptist Church, Texarkana and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.S. “Buddy Miers; parents, E.D. and Flossie Tilton and by a brother, Edward D. Tilton.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sara Miers of Texarkana, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Darryl Hague of Texarkana, TX; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Alice Tilton of Sulphur, LA; seven grandchildren and their families, Courtney Bone, Kevin Harris, Nathan MIers, Joshua Miers , Matthew Hague, Andrew Hague and Robert Hague; one special sister-in-law, Gloria Miers of Plano, TX; one special caregiver, Juanita Burris; many nieces, nephews, family and friends and one special couch buddy, Marteenie Weenie (Marty).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Atrium with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas
