Thelma Marie Bryan passed away February 8, 2019 at Warrensburg Manor Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. Thelma was born, October 15, 1931, the daughter of Authur and Olla (Stanturf) Hill and was raised in the Fort Henry neighborhood North of Huntsville on a farm. She graduated from Huntsville High School and married Jesse (Bud) Bryan in 1950. Thelma's son Raymond was born in 1951. Her stepson Larry was 5 years older and grew up in the home. Over the years what Thelma loved was living in Huntsville, Missouri, the people and most of all her church. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of Business and Professional Woman (BPW), a charter member of Lioness Club, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and of the Community Club. She loved being busy. Thelma opened up a clothing store, Thelma's Clothing Corral in 1969. She later changed the name to Thelma's Gift Corral and Flower Shop. Thelma also was a reporter for both the Randolph County Times Herald and the Moberly Monitor-Index joining the staffs in 1970s. Most of all, she loved trying to make people happy.

Thelma is survived by one son Larry (Sandi) Bryan of Warrensburg, MO, four grandchildren Ami Swisher (David) of Olathe, Kansas, Scott Bryan of St. Louis, MO, Shannon Mezzanotte (Eric) of Columbia, MO, and Shaun Bryan (Crystalyn) of Columbia, MO, four great grandchildren Jenna and Jacob Swisher of Olathe, Juniper and Flynn Bryan of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse J. Bryan, brother James A Hill, and son Raymond Bryan.
