Fort Edward—Anthony Taylor Small Jr., 90, of 95 Broadway, Fort Edward, died Saturday (Feb 10, 1990) at Glens Falls Hospital. Born Feb 4, 1900 in Troy, he was the son of Anthony Taylor and Mabel (Smith) Small Sr.
Mr. Small served in the United State Cavalry with John "Blackjack" Pershing, from 1916 to 1918. He began employment on Nov. 11, 1926, with Brown and Bigelow Advertising Co. of St. Paul, MInn., working there for 64 years.
Two wives, Nina Small and Martha Small, both died before him, and one sister Virginia Cluett, also died before him.
Survivors include one sister, Rosmond (Small) Parker of Sarasota, Fla; one niece, Joan Achee of Foulton, Calif.; two nephews Robert W. Smith of North Carolina and Gary S. Parker of Marietta, Ga.; 11 grandnieces and grandnephews; and eight great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home Quaker Road, Queensbury, with the Rev. Frank Havens, coordinator of pastoral care Glens Falls Hospital officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
