11th MO Cavalry (CSA) in Civil War - lost left leg. Issued Confederate pension in TX in 1899.

Lived in Grayson County TX in 1900 (and listed in Denison 1901-1902 city directory). Came to live with son William Elisha about 1906 in Denton County TX, where he died.
Burial information taken from Shepard Funeral Home bk., 12-20-1905 to 9-26-1908, p.217:
Mr T. F. Roberts, a 74 year-old-man, and living 2.5 mi east of Denton, died on 26 Nov. due to bowel trouble. He was buried at the City Cemetery, also known as Oakwood, on 27 Nov. The funeral was charged to W. E. Roberts.
