A lifelong resident of Cortez, Florida, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of O.F.F. and F.I.S.H.
Survived by wife, Betty; son, Alcee, Jr. (Kim) all of Cortez, FL; daughter, Jean Ann (Chuck) Carver of Merritt Island, FL; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; including Melissa Matherne whom they raised.
