"Bob" was born May 11, 1930 in Pennsville, New Jersey. This was his home until he graduated high school. It was at this milestone that he made the decision to enlist in the U.S. Army.
During his tour in Japan he met the love of his life, Kay, a Japanese citizen who happened to work on base. They dated, fell in love, married, and spent the rest of their military years traveling and raising a family.
Bob retired from the Army at age 37, then worked for Civil Service for 18 years at Long Beach Naval Supply Center. He retired at age 55 and thoroughly enjoyed his remaining years traveling to places he never visited while in the military. He spent quality time with his grandchildren and volunteered for the Associated Senior Action Program for many years in his hometown of San Juan Capistrano, Ca.
Bob is survived by his children, Debbie and Ken, their spouses Elie and Melanie, 4 grandchildren and spouses, 6 great grandchildren, and his youngest brother, Dale and family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 @ 2:00 PM for those who wish to join in celebrating his life at Palisades United Methodist Church, 27002 Camino de Estrella, Capistrano Beach, CA. 92624.
