Mount Vernon—Jeannette E. Clark, 87, of West Pleasant Street, died June 10, 1998, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born May 31, 1911, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Fobes) Carter. She had been a resident of Mount Vernon for all of her life.

She is survived by a son, Jim (Zelma) Clark of Mount Vernon; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Carter of Ross Common, Mich.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Clark; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
