Virginia Laske, 97, of Sandusky passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Sanilac Medical Care Facility with her loving family by her side.
She was born July 19, 1920 in Port Austin, MI to the late Joseph and Ann (Yaroch) Goretski and graduated from Port Austin High School in 1938. She married Arthur Laske on August 21, 1954 in Port Austin. He died, October 11, 1995.
Virginia was the owner of Forester Inn from 1963 to 1974 and was famous for her fish fries and home made bread. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, made the best Paczki's and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann (Kip) Reynolds and Christine Sails; one son, Phillip (Karen) Laske; daughter in law, Sue Lambert; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Laske; a daughter, Janice Knoblock; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A private family graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
