Rolla Lee Bloss, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at his residence.

Rolla was born the son of Ivan Robert and Mildred (Boley) Bloss on August 15, 1935, in Sumner, Missouri. He was a 1953 graduate of Meadville High School. He served in the United States Army. Rolla was united in marriage to Joy "Aileen" Golden on December 21, 1956, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a Police Officer for the Chillicothe Police Department for 19 years. He also managed B&R Warehouse Grocery for several years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Rolla was also a member of the Chillicothe Masonic Friendship Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M. He loved spending time with his family and grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Aileen Bloss, of the home; one daughter, Pamela Leigh Swift and husband Les of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandsons, Hunter, Landon, and Drake Swift of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Robert "Dale" Bloss of Meadville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Free Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
