CARLOS - Forrest Elmer "Moose" Ogden, 78, of Carlos went to be with his wife, on what would have been her 73rd birthday, after a short illness. He was born March 27, 1929 in Richmond to Elmer and Sylvia Griswell Ogden and lived in Carlos most of his life.

Forrest retired from Alcoa after 38 years and was also a retired farmer. He was an army veteran serving as a corporal. He was a member of the Alcoa Retirees, Steelworkers Local #4039, and Steelworkers bowling team. He loved to fish and hunt, and was a NASCAR.


He leaves behind his sons Jerry (Nancy) Ogden of Centerville, Charles (Sandy) Ogden of Lynn, Douglas (Peggy) Ogden of Williamsburg, six grandchildren Ryan (Trisha) Ogden, Chad (Cheryl) Ogden, Jennifer (Brett) McPeak, Jared (Christie) Ogden, Robin Ogden, and Heather Ogden; six great grandchildren: Peyton, Danielle, Brodie, Zoe, Calliegh, Dawson. In addition there is one nephew Joe "Butch" Ogden of Ponce DeLeon, Florida, and many other family and friends.

His wife Betty Hollingsworth Ogden died in 2002. His infant daughters Clara and Kathleen, his parents, step parents Rose Ogden and Ross Wills, and one sister Belva Ogden are also deceased.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 2, 2007, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr in Richmond with Pastor David Bales officiating. Burial will be at Earlham Cemetery in Richmond with military rites by the Wayne County Veterans Council Honor Guard.

Friends may call 4 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
