Doris Lovvell Johnson, 92, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has departed this world to be called home on Monday, January 28, 2019. Doris was born January 29, 1926, in Houston, Texas to Francis Leonard and Bessie Gertrude Leonard (Sexton). Her hobbies included watching Tennis, reading, and making exciting crafts. Doris attended Country Estates Baptist Church, along with being an active member of Eastern Star, OEA, AFT and KKI. She also finished school to complete her Master’s and later went on to pursue a career as a teacher. Doris is survived by daughter, Cynthia Fravel and husband Donn of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, James Alan Johnson and wife Patsy Annette of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Dorothea Leonard of Norman, Oklahoma; and beloved niece, Robin Boatman. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Luther Johnson; Parents, Francis and Bessie Leonard; brother, Bruce Leonard; brother, Ronald Leonard; sister Ruby Ball; sister, Opal Button; and sister, Alice Grothe. The graveside service for Doris will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
