Ramona Mae Applegate, 86, of Tollesboro, KY, formerly of Manchester, OH passed away at Meadowview Regional Medical Center Friday, March 6, 2015. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 4, 1928 to the late Martin and Sadie (Dougherty) Bradford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Sherwood Tomlin.
Ramona worked for JC Penney, Sherwood Cleaners and was a self-employed housekeeper. She was a member of the Tollesboro United Methodist Church and a 55 year member of the Manchester VFW Auxiliary Post 8287.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Applegate, 6 nieces, 2 nephews, many cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 10, 1:00pm at Wilson Home for Funerals in Manchester. Reverend Silas Ripato will officiate and burial will follow in the Manchester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of the service.
