He had been a lake captain all his life and upon his retirement in 1925, was a tug captain for Lay Bros. Fisheries. During the administration of Mayor Christian Zimmerman, Mr. Teasel served as city turnkey.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Brant Standley, of Detroit; Mrs. Clarence Homberger, of Sandusky, Mrs. Carrie Stoddard and Miss Edna L. Teasel, both at home; three sons, Jacob G. and Casper E., both of Sandusky, and Chester Teasel, of Detroit; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Casper Teasel, of Sandusky. His wife died Jan. 29, 1925.
The body is at the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Saturday, and where services will be Monday at 1:30 p. m., the Rev. Ray Evans, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
