Larry Don Hull Sr., formerly of Macomb, passed away Dec. 4, 2018, at 78 years of age.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1940, in Oklahoma City to George and Fairy Hull and attended school in Rolla, Kansas, where he graduated in 1958.

Larry married Rose Marie Williamson on June 2, 1962, at the Methodist Church in Ripley.

Larry received his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma City University and his master’s degree at Oklahoma State University. He taught school in the Oklahoma City Public School system from 1962 until 1974, then at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, where he earned Teacher of the Year in 1983 and where he retired in 1992. In 2010, he received the NRCS Outstanding Cooperator of the Year.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, sports, ranching, and riding the lawn mower in the pasture.

Larry was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

Larry was preceded in death by his son, Larry Don Hull Jr., on Aug. 14, 2017; his parents, George and Fairy Hull; sister, Pearl Hunter; brothers, Lloyd Hull and George Hull Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; daughter Kim Powell and her husband, Andy; their children, Taylor (Powell) Roberts and her husband, Nathan; Jordyn and Jayci Powell; daughter in-law, Charli Hull, and children, Gus, Franki, and Jessi Hull; sisters Joy Rankin, Peggy Hoskinson, Alicia Wray; brothers, Charles, Robin, and Philip Hull; and many friends, nieces and nephews and their families.

There will be a private celebration of life.
