John Holder, 87, 4029 3rd Ave., San Bernardino, died Friday in Loma Linda. He was born in Texas and was a 23-year resident of San Bernardino and a 27-year resident of California. Holder was a carpenter and a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church. Survivors include his widow, Dora; three sons, James, of Fontana, Luther and Cecil R., both of Texas, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mark B. Shaw Chapel with burial at Montecito Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
