A native of Magee, Miss., Mr. Mangum had lived in Shreveport for the past 45 years and had been an employee of Cities Service.
He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Joppa Masonic Lodge, El Karubah Shrine, a 32nd degree Mason and a World War I veteran.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel with the Rev. J. Fred Patton, pastor of St. Mark's, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, James A. Mangum of New Orleans; three sisters; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children in Shreveport.
