Alberta Mae Canby, 76, Lincoln, died on Friday (3/23/07) at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln. Born in Winnebago. Respected elder of the Omaha Tribe. Survivors: children, Gary, Elaine and Gregory Canby, all of Lincoln; adopted daughters, Andrea Herrera, Marcella Flores, both Lincoln; brother, Donald Grant, Macy; sister, Phyllis Thomas, Macy; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy. Visitation: beginning this afternoon at the home of Phyllis Thomas in Macy, and will continue until services. Interment will be in the Omaha Tribal Cemetery in Macy. Munderloh Funeral Home, Pender - Emerson -Bancroft -Walthill.
