Mrs. Elsie A. McNeal

Mrs. Elsie A. McNeal, 86, Topeka, died Thursday, May 21, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. McNeal retired in 1962, after 10 years as a housekeeper at the National Reserve Building. She formerly had worked in a chocolate factory in Chicago.

She was born Aug. 5, 1900, in Vassar, the daughter of Charles and Ida Deckwa Lang.
Mrs. McNeal was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Women's Missionary Society at the church.

She was married to Charles F. McNeal April 8, 1925, at Topeka. He died in 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford McNeal, Waldorf, Md., and Norman McNeal, Topeka; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. McNeal will lie in state from 8 a.m. Sunday until 9 p.m. Monday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday.
