Mrs. Lillian L. Bedle of Asbury Park has brought suit for an absolute divorce from her husband, Bennington R. Bedle, who now lives in Keyport. She alleges desertion. Bennington R. Bedle is the son of the late Governor Joseph D. Bedle, who was born in Matawan and resided there for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Bedle were married on December 30, 1893, in Sheffield, Eng., while Mr. Bedle was Consul there. Mr. Bedle is the son of Joseph Bedle, former Democratic governor of the state of New Jersey and is a graduate of the University of Princeton.
