Louise Lee, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Estates at Rush City. She was 95 years old.

Louise Margaret Lee, of Mora, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2019 at the Estates at Rush City. She was 95 years old.
Louise was born on March 24, 1923 in Shakopee, Minnesota to parents Ed and Elizabeth (Dalbow) Unze. Both of her parents died before she was three and she was taken in by the neighboring farm family of George and Evelyn Smith. Louise became the little sister of the Smith's four older boys.
As a young woman, Louise worked at the Brown and Bigelow factory for a few years and then as a waitress at Frank's Grill in the twin cities. She met Robert Edward Lee and they were united in marriage on April 21, 1945. They made their home in Columbia Heights and were blessed with one daughter, Linda. Louise took care of her family but also worked side by side with Robert in his carpentry work over the years. After retiring, Louise and Robert followed their daughter and family to Bradenton, Florida in 1981. In 1992 they left Florida and moved to Mora to be near their daughter again. Louise and Robert enjoyed going for walks, and daily trips uptown to the bakery or out for coffee. They loved to take car rides together and enjoyed watching the work happening at construction sites. Together they enjoyed fishing on the open water or on the freezing ice. When Robert's health began to fail, Louise remained by his side until he passed away on December 9, 2008.
Louise loved to crochet and made countless granny squares. She also enjoyed needle point projects and reading newspapers and magazines. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
Louise is preceded in death by both sets of her parents; husband Robert; grandson William Robert Warner; siblings, Harry, Harvey, and Joanne; and her 4 Smith brothers, Roy, Clifford, Earl, and Deward.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (John) Warner; grandchildren, Jennifer (Simon) Dickinson, Jody (Wayne) Udstuen, Jason (Aryn) Warner, and Jacob Warner (Scott McGowan); great grandchildren, Justin Rauen, Serena Rauen, Sam Udstuen, and Jonathan Warner; and several other relatives and friends
