William Adolph Rinderknecht, Jr., age 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 21st, 2019.

William was born August 20, 1933 in Taylor, Texas to William Adolph Rinderknecht, Sr. and Mary Meyer Rinderknecht.

After graduating from Taylor High School in 1950, he then pursued a career in the Air Force as a radar technician and instructor.

He married his sweetheart Elfie Safarik in 1958, and was able to celebrate 60 years of marriage in August of last year.

He was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served on the church council.

The couple was blessed with three sons, and settled into life on their farm in Structure. William was a jack-of-all-trades. His many skills included being a carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic, and welder. When not working, the family enjoyed taking trips, deer hunting and fishing the Texas coast.

William’s greatest joy was spending time with his family especially all his grandchildren.

In 1985, a new chapter was started with the purchase of Williamson County Equipment Company in Taylor. He entrusted the operation of the company to his three sons, and it continues to flourish today.

William is survived by his loving wife, Elfie ( Safarik) of Taylor; sister, Janie Freeborn of LaMarque; sons, Jeff and wife, Laura; Mike and wife, Kim; and Ricky and wife, Jan. He was the grandfather of Jennifer Vallone (husband, Matt), Ross Rinderknecht ( wife, Cassie), Erin Rinderknecht, Kristen Rinderknecht, Ryan Rinderknecht, Aubrey Rinderknecht, Kenzie Rinderknecht, great-granddaughter, Elise Vallone, and soon arriving, great- granddaughter, Lainie Rinderknecht.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pearlie Rinderknecht; and brother, Lincoln Rinderknecht.

The Rinderknecht family would like to thank everyone at the S.P.J.S.T Nursing Home and Resolution Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to William. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor or a charity of their choice.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 25, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
