Jesus M. Vindiola
January 8, 1910 - August 28, 2005
Jesus M. Vindiola, age 95, of Stockton, entered into rest on Sunday, August 28, 2005 at a local hospital, following an illness.
He was born in Arizona, the son of Jesus Vindiola and Teresa Martinez Vindiola.
Mr. Vindiola worked as a gold miner for 40 years, and later as a carpenter for 10 years before his retirement.
He had lived in Jackson, CA where he met the love oh his life, Margaret, and they were married October 25, 1927 at the Catholic Church in Jackson. Later, the family settled in Stockton, where they lived for the past 65 years. Mr. Vindiola was a member of St. Linus Catholic Church, and a devout Christian man who practiced and taught high morals and principles to his children and family. He enjoyed reading, camping and fishing, and a great story teller. He enjoyed caring for his children and grandchildren, taking them to school and cooking for them. His was kind, generous and compassionate and will be remember fondly by all who knew him.
Mr. Vindiola is survived by four sons; Larry, Andy and Raymond Vindiola, all of Stockton, and Jesus Vindiola, Jr. (and his wife Connie) of Valley Springs.
Also survived by nine grandchildren: Rosie, Ronnie, Andy Jr., Sandra, Robert, Trisha, Denise, Jesus III and Joey;
twelve great-grandchildren: Andrea,Victoria, Mario,Yoni, Robert Jr., Selena, Isaac, Gabriel, Faith, Micha and Vanessa.
He is also survived by four brothers: Aracio “Rocky”, Avelino, Jimmy and Joe Vindiola; and one sister, Teresa Sanchez.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 1/2 years, Mrs. Margaret J. Vindiola;
four sons: Rudy, Donald, Ronald and Robert Vindiola, Sr.,
four brothers, Ramon, Elizar, Alfredo and Nicho Vindiola,;
and a sister, Angela Estavillo.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to attend visitations on Thursday, September 1, 2005 from 2:oo p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for his repose at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2005 at St. Linus Catholic Church, 2620 So. B. Street in Stockton, followed by a graveside committal service at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
