Glendon B. "Joe" Baker II, 76, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at a local care center.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastor Bert Burwell officiating.

Joe was born November 17, 1942 in Savannah, GA, the son of Glendon and Inez (Waters) Baker. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Joe married Joanne Kersting on February 11, 1995 in Sioux City.

Joe was a jack of all trades. He roofed for many years, then drove truck until retiring from Weinrich.

Joe was a member of Sioux City Baptist Church, and the American Legion Riders Iowa Chapter Lawton Post 718. He loved riding motorcycles, camping, and sharing his experiences of strength and hope. Joe was a family man, good husband, son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Joe was survived by his wife Joanne Baker, children: Glen Baker III, Cathy Heefner, Dennis Baker, Darin Cripe (Dixie Gors), Sean (Tarey) Cripe, and Diana (Adam) Harrington; grandchildren: Amy, Justin, Ryan, Ariel, Danielle, Isaac, Brian, Sarah, Kyle, Jordan, Tim, Kayla, Andrew, Sydney, and Caleb; great grandchildren: Gracie, Logan, Kylie, and Josilynn; and siblings: Danny Baker, Sally Del Rosareo, and James Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Fran and Sandy, and brother, Gerald.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22, 2019 in Sioux City.
