Mrs. Cook spent her working life as a professional cake decorator working in a number of retail stores.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Samuel Curtis Cook and Novle Merritt Cook; daughter, Patricia Diane Polk and granddaughter, Jessica Polk.
Survivors are son, Mark King and wife Rose of Columbia, MS; sister, Carmel Nations and husband Bobby of McComb, MS; brothers, Virgil Cook of Brookhaven and Wincey Cook of Roxie; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bobby Nations Jr., Andrew Nations, Bobby Nations III, Luke Nations, Jacob Nations and Clay Mayeux.
