Charles H. Durante, 65, husband of Helen O'Mara Durante and a resident of 129 Lyon street was dead on arrival at Oswego Hospital on Monday afternoon.

Born in Brasher Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late William and Mary Soya Durante and has resided in Oswego for the past twenty five years.

He had been employed for seven years by Niagara Power Corporation and for the past twenty three years had been associated with the Gouvenour Iron Works and Syracuse Rigging Company at the Oswego Steam Plant and Atomic Plant at Nine Mile Point retiring October 1, 1973.

Mr. Durante was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and usher's club, Oswego Lodge of Elks, a Fourth Degree member of Knights of Columbus, Iron Workers Local 6 and Oswego Building and Trades Council.

Surviving besides his wife is a son, Charles P. Durante of Sidney, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Mabel) Buyea of Oneida; two brothers, Ernest of Schenectady and Jerry Durante of Stony Point, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Dowdle Funeral
Home and at 9:30 in St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery.
